Ikea sells a plastic bag storage holder, (just a few bucks). I attached mine on the inside of bottom cabinet door so you don't see it.

Store them in a coffee can or roll them up and place in a Lysol wipe container. Either can be made to attach on the wall. I painted a coffee can to match the colors in my bathroom to store my bags in.

I use an open ended Lysol wipe container which fits in my foil/plastic wrap drawer. I had one of those hanging bags but it was always unsightly and took up too much room. Anything that won't fit in the Lysol can gets recycled or hoarded in the storage room.

You could use a baby wipes container and fold the bags like mentioned above and then you could fit it in a drawer or cupboard.

Or mount a Lysol wipes container upside down with the bags in it

You can also use an empty tin foil or surran wrap box, wrap the bags around the cardboar piece in the center and it will fit in your drawer

Or if you can get an embroidery hoop (any size) and for larger hoops use any material (like a pillow case you can use white and paint/dye it to match decor) or smaller hoops you can use smaller pieces of material sewn to make a pocket to hold the bags

I store a few bags in an empty Kleenex box. Fold the bags and then loop the bottom of the bag through the handle of the 1st bag. When you pull out a bag, the handles to the next pop up. Saw this on you tube. :D Also most grocery stores or Wal Mart stores have recycle bins you can take the bags too.

The Dollar store has a silvery plastic party tray, 2 of them put together with matching (or not) ribbon would work. Melt a hole in one side at the top for hanging and a slot at the top and bottom of the other tray for loading and unloading. Cutting hard plastic is easy with a heat gun or hair dryer and a box knife.

I was going to suggest the empty kleenex box but I see someone already did. Works great. 1 box holds 30-40 bags. I just recycle whatever won't fit into one tissue box.

Yes, I use an old kleenex box, but you have to be diligent with the folding. Also a store we frequent gives large plastic bags for clothing etc. I like to use these to carry wet laundry outside to hang or dirty laundry from the second floor to the basement. I fold these and stick them near the hamper which is in my linen closet.

I use the sturdy cardboard box that 100 trash bags came in, from Costco, but any sturdy box or large plastic jug will do. I just taped shut the large flap, and cut a neat hole in the top of the box. I just stuff all the bags from shopping in there, and pull one out when needed.

I bought a cute, colored plastic basket at the dollar tree to use for plastic bags. You can hang the basket or sit it on a counter.

I use an empty plastic milk container. There is a circle already on the container and you can cut it out and put several bags in it. You can decorate it accordIng to your decor. Remember you are helping the environment at the same time. Also, these are nice personalized gifts to give to family and friends and include the plastic bags with it.

Have you considered moving it to another location ? I have the hanging bag holder like you and it is next to my back door. And cloth bags I keep some in my car. And I would use one bag to hold the other bags. That is store behind my basement door.

I repurposed an old Clorox wipe container to hold all mine. You'd be amazed at how many bags that container will hold. It's been great for me. If you want it to go in that space, you could adhere magnets to the container and hang it on your fridge.
