I broke it when I was locked out because I needed to get in quickly. The hole where the knob used to be is pretty messed up as is the lock mechanism.

My husband just repaired ours. He left it in the pocket and just replaced the front rollers, if it had been the rear one he would replace it a little closer to the middle.
so that he would not have to take the entire door frame apart.
Hi Trish,
Click on the link below for step-by-step direction for how to replace a pocket door with a hinged door. We recently replace a similar door with a hinged door and it is so much better. It also has more privacy than a bifold door. :) Wishing you the best.

How about a barn door.
I think you should try to repair the pocket door. A hinged door would open potentially into the path of a passerby. It is an awkward placement for a bathroom.
A bi-fold door would look awkward and since it looks like an already narrow opening, the bi-fold door won't fold down to to 'nothing', it will take up inches at the side. It's possible to get the pocket door fixed, and the newer hardware makes them much more resistant to coming off the track. there really isn't lateral room for a barn door, you'd have to remove that pretty molding on BOTH doors, and I think the trend for those is dying out.
I wouldn't. With a bifold you won't have as much room when the door is open. I strongly dislike my bifolds.
Have you considered a sliding barn door? It’s hard to tell from the photo if there’s enough room, but it appears there might be. Just a thought!
Repair the pocket door. Bifold door would look cheap. More like a closet or pantry. A hinged door would be awkward opening and closing. That's why a pocket door was installed. No room for a barn door.
