What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.

anything You plant (other than cacti) will likely require watering daily. Hardier plants are geranium, wave petunia, portulaca, marigolds, zinnia.
I think petunias and begonias would work well.
Lantana, zinnia, cosmos, verbena, hen and chicks. Line your boxes with water retaining material and mulch atop flowers to reduce evaporation.
I love geraniums and petunias! I have both this year in full sun. Gerbera daisies are also nice in window boxes.
I never actually plant in the window box on my kitchen window. I place the pots (usually 4 of the larger ones) in it so that I can change with each season.
You can add in a few sweet potato vines (green or purple) and they'll trail nicely over the edge of your planters and look great! They do well in sun and don't have very deep roots!
