Hi Lea! Hometalk has a similar service (see the Team Up tab at the top of the page. If you click on it, there is additional information about the program. I think your aren't going to be charging enough if you are going to be present for the support, because some people will need you for more complicated projects and you will have some expenses. When you are self-employed, running a small business, there are taxes, zoning if you run it out of your home (I had to pay for a partial rezone a few years ago when I was running a small business). There are lots of resources out there for small business owners, to develop your business and help it grow. Call your local Chamber of Commerce of referrals. When my daughter and son-in-law started building their business they received free guidance for developing and writing a business plan, etc. There also is grant and loan money out there to help people get started. Good luck, and best wishes!
Hi lea, If I were you I would offer a group instruction. Either at your house or theirs. Pick out a project you feel confident in. . . say . . . remaking an ottoman and charge participants a flat fee that would make it worth your while and also give them their money's worth. As a consumer I would not pay anyone a monthly retainer.
