Sue, there's nothing in Hometalk. I googled plant stand made of rake parts. Oh, my, I have seen plant stands made out of a desk, more barrels than you'd ever tbought had been made, one made from plastic gutters, of course mason jars on window sills and some attached to a pitch fork. Give me some more clues on how the rake teeth were used? Was it a steel rake with 3 inch teeth, or a rake with thin bendable splines that would throw the leaves farther? Did it just use the metal part and not the handle? Oh, and one made from a pig's water trough and ine made from a pram. Let us know, we'll keep looking! - Shuganne
I found this picture on Pinterest. I don't have an account, so i couldn't wander far.
I also read a woman's description, sadly no pictures, who said her dad would drill holes in an old disc. He'd inset rake spines in there and weld them in place. I'm assuming the disc was the bottom, he'd insert an old cocoa liner inside and the plant would sit in the middle. If neither of these help let us kniw and we'll keep looking. - Shuganne
Bend them and fix them to an upright post and secure in the ground.
