Mums for fall
this looks like hosta
JDub Hi, I don't know about plants, but I think they are called Elephant Ears. OurHome talk team will respond to your question, those who really know about plants.
It is a Canna Lilly best grown in Tropical climate . Protect it in winter . Mine are blooming now . In the South they tend to take over. Google Canna Lilly you can read all about them . Be Blessed !
I think Hosta, which needs shade, loves water. Elephant ears are large.
Frances knows her plants-!! plant in sun-they die back in fall-come back late spring/summer-grow tall (there are dwarf-you will find out next year for sure) mine are 6 feet tall-yellow flower-some are red or orange-love them
Definitely a Canna
Its a Canna lily. I have several different types.
Definitely a Canna. They have beautiful flowers and like sun. They die back
in the winter and come back each spring. They are great plants. Mine have deep red flowers and with the blooms are about 4 ft tall. If you leave it in a pot it will need protection from the cold. Enjoy. Research for your area. But they are Cannas.
I live in Texas and have a bunch these Cannas in my backyard. In the late fall, I just cut them to about a foot or so and every year they come back. We get some pretty harsh weather here.
There are lots of free apps that help identify plants also with just a photo.
