How did you prep the cookie tray for your mosaic?
For the person who turned a cookie tray into a serving tray by making a mosaic with tiles: did you sand the tray ahead of time to make a better surface for the mosaic adhesive to grab onto? Was there any other kind of prep?

This broken china or "mosaic" bench was cleaned. No other prep needed. This is many years old with no discernible damage or wear.

It is always a good idea to sand first and wipe of the sanded area with a damp rag before starting any process.
