I always prune mine when I’ve started seeing stems starting to die off etc. My Rose 🌹 bushes are realllllly thriving too. I also spray them with the Rose spray and Roses food pellets. I have heirloom tea roses. Hope this maybe helps you a little 💗 Good luck with your roses! -M

I always prune in the Spring. Deadhead old flowers during the summer. To prepare them for winter, I cut them down and cover them with rose cones.
