We and others store our bread in the refrigerator. This also helps preserve it from going bad.
Maybe one day you will find a vintage spatterware covered turkey roaster at an estate sale. Something like that looks great and is useful. Nice place to hide your bread!!
You can order a new canister set that includes a bread box. I got mine from Ginny's. If you don't have the space. The other thing I did was use one of my kitchen drawers. Hope that helps.
I just place in the cabinet. Small kitchen no pantry or fancy doo dad's like appliance garages. You can purchase a tin bread box from many retailers, vintage is all the rage.
