What do you use to fill in the joints between sidewalk slabs to prevent the constant growth of weeds?
Thank you!

Hi Gary! You could look into polymeric sand. You get it wet and it solidifies. Here's how we used it in between pavers on our patio >> https://www.charlestoncrafted.com/2018/02/19/add-polymeric-sand-quikrete-walkmaker-pavers/
I've been using baking soda with great results. Kills the weeds quickly and keeps them away for quite a few weeks. Treat again when you see them starting to grow back. Cheap and easy!
If those weeds continue to grow, Gary, try covering the bottom of a spray bottle with salt and then filling it with vinegar. Add a small squirt of dish soap and shake. Spray the joints to kill any weeds that pop up.
I use vinegar inbetween our pavers. On a sunny day just spray vinegar (with about a tablespoon of Dawn) directly on the weeds. The vinegar dries them up and the sun helps too. After the weeds die and dry up it seems like less and less grow back.
Sprinkle plain old table salt on the weeds. Do this a couple of times a summer. Make sure the salt doesn't get on the plants, shrubs that you want to keep. Cheap and easy!
Spray with salt and vinegar. Wait a day: plants should be shriveling. Pull and dig them up. Spray space completely with vinegar. Fill with pea size rocks. Must be pourous so sidewalks will expand and tighten during temperature changes. Anytime you see a green sprout coming through, spray with salt and vinegar again to deter growth. You ought to have the most seedless sidewalk on the block. Best wishes, Gary. Let us know how it’s working for you. ☺️
