How do I seperate an Astillbe plant?
My Astillbe is so big after only two years and there is not space enough for it. I would like to divide it into two or three smaller plants. And when is a good time of year to do this?
Thank You for the help!

Cut it down as much as you can. Take a sharp spade and divide it into two or three sections (keep the roots moist), and plant as soon as you can before the ground gets cold and freezes. Water frequently. Don't transplant when the sun is hottest, do it first thing in the morning or late afternoon. Now is a good time.
