What flowers can I use outside ?
Want to hang some hanging plants in front of garage. Any ideas besides mums that I could plant. We are beginning the fall season here. And also wanted to light the plant up some how to make it look nice. Any ideas?

Winter cabbage
sweet potato vine looks great hanging. Good luck!
Besides mums, go for big leaf-foliage now. Many ivys, photinas, elephant ears, petunias, and other similar plants will make a beautiful show. Some will have tiny flowers. Some larger with flame-like leaves. The farther south you are, the more brilliant the colors. And don’t forget Christmas cactus and other varieties. And if you get really desperate, buy silk and plastic! You can have any kind and color you want. And of course, string them up with mini lights on the handles and around the pots. Have fun with the fall foliage! ☺️

I’m mummed out too. The site above offers some suggestions of floral, but consider planting some hardier greens with the actual flowers. Greens for draping, so you’re not just looking at the plants.
Youve got some great garden centers up there.
