Raising the stairs sounds like a job for a profesional, but I would completely clear out the space and then measure and see what can realistically fit. Good luck.
The depth may be right for a washer and dryer! That would be a great use of space. I’m not sure you’ll be able to raise the stairs. There is pretty strict code about rise and run for safety. It’s a big project for a professional - if it’s even possible.
Hello Gail, I think maybe you are asking rather a lot of an under stairs cupboard. Some of what you would like may well be possible, but not all. Have you thought of moving to sa bigger place? It could be cheaper in the long run.......
I have a small bathroom under my stairs, so I don't see why not you wouldn't have enough room. To heighten the stairs is a big job for a professional. Is there any way to bust out the side (under the stairs) to get more room?
I did not think this person was asking to raise the stairs. I have seen on Hometalk or Pinterest instructions for a triangular door to be able to access understairs storage. I have a stackable washer/dryer under mine and the rest of the space is wasted. Waiting for nearby son to come insert a door.
