Indoors or outdoors?
Dear Jib, are they in your house or on your dog or cat ?
I take the dogs to groomers and have them dipped and set off flea bombs in my house. 4 hours later go back home and wash all my linesman left out dishes esp dogs bowls. Then repeat again in about 2 weeks to catch the hatched eggs. Repeat in 2 weeks again. Of course you have to spray the yard at same time. I spray my yard every season and have not had fleas in 5 years.
If I only see one or two fleas, I treat the pets with Comfortis (drops just don't work in my area) and sprinkle borax on the floors and let sit then vacuum. Be sure pets don't get into the Borax! If there are a lot of fleas, I start the pets on Comfortis and bomb a few days later. We haven't had a problem with fleas since we switched to the pill. They all get treated year round because I do not ever want to bomb again.
