How and when should I cut my Jax mania climatis?
I’m thinking I should cut my 2 yr old jack mania climatis to the ground in the fall. Am I right?

I usually leave mine until Spring and then cut it back.
I never cut mine down. I live in Iowa and only tear off the dead climbers.
Remove dead or weak stems in late winter or early spring, leaving the best of last year's buds. Once they finish blooming, deadhead all flowering stems or cut the plant back to 12 to 18 inches to force new growth for a second round of flowers.
I finally cut mine down leaving about three inches. It came back beautifully.
