What are cresol cans?
Hi Chris, for spray paint cans, this article may help.
For other products such as hair spray, etc. you can use a needle or pin to possibly clean out product that has clogged the tip. Usually the plastic tip with the hole can be removed and soaked in hot soapy water to de-gunk the product. Be careful to point the opening away from your eyes or wear eye protection while doing this.
