How do you update a rock front on house?
Can you paint it? We have an older home that has rock (multi-colored) on it, wondering if anyone has painted rock fronts or used some other idea to update the front, besides the expense of removing it? Thank you for any ideas.

If it is natural rock, clean it well with soap and a wire brush. Rinse thoroughly and let dry completely. Then you can paint with latex house paint all one color or sponge it on with several colors to mimic natural rock.

yep -- can be painted just fine --- be sure it's CLEAN, mortar joints are in good repair and any paint for 'brick/stone' will work fine ... spray is best for even coverage, be sure to watch the weather reports -- has to be BONE DRY!
