I've heard staining is a good technique for updating floors. So how do I stain my wood floor?
Wood or concrete.
Brown paper works adheres the best and lasts the longest on a plywood subfloor.
Areas with excessive moisture (like a bathroom or maybe even a laundry room) aren't good candidates for this.
Experiment by first using scrap plywood to try this on. Do the entire process to see if you can do it and how well you like the outcome before doing something to your floors that really can't be undone.
Hi Mogie,
Smooth non gritty floors. so if you have concrete - seal it first!
