How to water suculant plants?
My husband just brought me a new succulent plant. It did not come with plant watering recommendations nor weather they need full sun or just a well lit window. Do you have any recommendations for this new addition.

I spritz mine with water once or twice a month. Yes, put it in the sun and it should be fine even if it does not have a lot of direct sunlight. It should have some direct sun part of the day.
I like succulents for their slow growth and for their hardiness. A well lit window will do, and I water the plants about every 7 to 9 days. Do not soak them.
All depends where you live and where the plant is placed. I am in zone 9 and they grow like weeds for me and I have hundreds of them. They double or more in size over the winter and hold their own during the brutal hot summers. Here are 2 excellent sites to get you started.

i LIVE IN MISSOURI. WE HAVE A MIX OF GRAY/SUNLIT DAYS. JUST GIVE THEM AS MUCH SUN AS THEY WANT. JADE AND SANSEVARIA CAN GO ALMOST ALL WINTER WITHOUT WATER. i USUALLY GO BY THE LOOK OF THE PLANT. IF IT STARTS LOOKING A BIT LIMP, GIVE IT SOME WATER. I USUALLY GIVE A LITTLE AT A TIME UNTIL IT PERKS UP AND THEN A LITTLE MORE. NEVER SOAK SUCCULENTS OR YOU WILL GET ROOT ROT.
Hi Dorlis,
Thank you for the heads up on my succulent. I vive in Maine and I have a wood stove which dries out the air in the house. Most of my plants require extra watering during the winter. At lease during the summer months I can put them outside. I will keep an eye out for too much water for the succulent. Deb
