Curbside Trash to Dining Room Treasure
Here is a quick, easy, and cheap way to get yourself a designer dining table on a shoe-string budget. As I have just had my first child I am cautious about where I spend my money. Growing up I remember our dining table, where the family would come together every morning and reunite at the end of day. It was the place where many friendships were formed over shared meals. This table (I hope) will be the home to such memories and where I will get to know my son, family, and friends :)
Tools I used:
- Sander (belt and orbital)
- Biscuit cutter
- Circular saw
- Drill and driver
Frame discovered on roadside.
Straightened out bent leg and sand back existing paint
Apply 3 coats of gloss white enamel.
Dig through my reclaimed timber collection to compose table top.
Ready to apply glue and clamps.
glued, clamped, dried, and ready for sanding.
Centre the frame on the underside of the table top.
Apply 3 coats of food safe and highly durable water based varnish.
One mans trash becomes curbside treasure :)
