How to make a mosaic table top?
I have an old (around 50 years old) iron table that used to have a tiled top. Don't know what was used for the base. I want to do a mosaic top but can't figure out what to use for a base for the mosaic. Help!

If using inside just 3/4" plywood, if for outside use use marine plywood or exterior rated plywood. Put on with exterior rated mastic, tile, then grout. Seal with grout sealer
Enjoy
I used marine ply for mine. See below.
Make sure you use waterproof grout and seal the edges of table with waterproof sealant like you use on a bath.
