Paper towel holder from a cheese dish? Yes!! Marble base cheese domes are easy to find in thrift stores... and the perfect start to a stylish, modern, paper towel holder! This affordable project is so simple! Let's take a look at the step-by-step tutorial, so that you can make your own marble paper towel holder.

First, stain the wood dowel rod. This will become the center of the paper towel holder, where the paper towel roll is placed.

Next, apply a rub-n-buff finish to a pipe cap. The pipe cap should be slightly larger than the diameter of the wood dowel rod. Use a heavy duty adhesive to attach the pipe cap to one end of the dowel rod.

Finally, mark the center of the marble base with pencil. Then, use a heavy duty adhesive to attach the opposite end of the wood dowel rod to the marble. Let it set to cure, according to the instructions on the glue package.

Once the glue is cured, slip on a paper towel roll and put it to good use! Practical. Stylish. Affordable. Easy. Just the type of DIY project that I love.
