Window/Glass Cleaner
Hey Norma, what exactly are you looking to clean? In my house I have a spray bottle of 50/50 white vinegar on hand for just about everything. I use it as my glass cleaner, countertop cleaner, duster, I also use it on my 100 year old hardwood floors. It works great!
Hi Norma,
Here are several options I found on a Hometalk search.
White vinegar cleans almost everything!
Hi Norma,
I agree about using vinegar for cleaning. I have several spray bottles with a mix of equal parts of white vinegar and water with a few drops of Dawn that I use for most of the cleaning around our home. Vinegar is known to kill germs so it's great - especially in flu season. If something needs a little extra help, I've used baking soda or hydrogen peroxide, however never mix hydrogen peroxide with vinegar. Hydrogen peroxide act a bit like a bleach and I used it with water for my carpet shampooer on my light colored carpet. I've also used it for stains on clothing or mattresses. Always test before using any cleaning agent to make sure it won't remove color. I use baking soda if I need a little scrubbing power to remove stains. Another great idea is to use lemon with water to clean and refresh. You can add essential oils to most home-made cleaning solutions if you like. I don't usually bother because the scent of them will go away fairly quickly. I hope this helps you. Wishing you the best.
Hi Normal - This is the all-purpose cleaner that we use and it works really well. You can always change up the scents too. After changing my diet, switching over to all-natural homemade (primary) and store-bought (backup) has been huge for improving my health. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Vinegar and baking soda. Excellent for grout and bottoms of burned on pots and pans. Lots of scrubbing but worth it.
