You can add 2" blinds behind it.
What about stripes of frosted contact paper? I have seen that done quite effectively and it looks very nice. Doesn’t look tacky at all. No pun intended.
Well I am a big fan of dual rods. I have sheers underneath with drapes. Still get light, but have privacy and can close the drapes if need be.
You could put rod pocket semi sheers and use quite a few of them but it would still let in the light. You could also use pretty window film on the bottom or both. They have some beautiful frosted film. It will still let in the light.
That's what I do. Blinds for privacy. Sheers for elegance.
Tint your windows
Privacy films ..you can get them at most Wally worlds, they don’t need any glue to stay in place, and there are a few patterns to choose from.
If you have tall ceilings you can take a long curtain and add elegance with a long drop above and beyond the window
