How can I get rid of moss in my yard?
I have a lot of moss growing on my lawn. I have read that it could be caused by high acidic soil. What can I put on it so grass will grow?

Hi Rita, I found this site that can help you: https://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Moss-in-Your-Lawn
clean beach sand and chalk
acidic, but moisture and shade also. You need to see if there is a way to drain the moisture to an area you do not use. You need to check, but the soil is probably clay. If it is sand, you REALLY need to tile it and get that water away from the house. Pennington makes a grass seed that is specific to shade areas. Use that. Anything that is not for shade will be a waste of money. Just remember to tamp the seeds in to the ground by either walking on it or a roller. Then cover the freshly sown seed with hay or straw for about a month to let the seeds develop roots. Leave it alone. It feels like it takes FOREVER! The small plants will grow through the covering. When the grass is about a foot tall, then you can mow it. Mowing before that will rip the plants out of the ground and ruin most of your work.
Glycosulfates require reading labels carefully, as they kill other plants.
