Claire...l use Windex & news paper
I like to use a squeegee ! Works great and make the job to a lot quicker than using paper towels or newspaper ! I use either vinegar and water or window cleaner .

Trial and Error!
Best tool is a Wagner Window cleaner, if you have a lot of windows. or
a mix of water with a drop of vinegar and maybe a drop of w/up liquid. Use a sponge or a squeegie or crumpled up Newspaper. Employing a Window Cleaner is also a good choice........
I use a squeegee, car was sponge and newspaper. Vinegar water solution to was the windows.
Use what your comfortable with. I use a window brush on a handle. Sponge and squeegee. Garden hose to wet the windows down. Vinegar, Dawn dish liquid and hot water.

A window brush and a squeegie. Wet and was the window with water, vinegar and a little blue dawn dish soap, work that mixture on the window, squeegie and done.
