Quick, inexpensive fix to correct weathered, splintering wood on deck
My wooden deck is older, and the wood has started to darken and splinter. Outside of replacing the wood, is there anything I can do for a quick and inexpensive fix?
Start with largest pot for bottom and build up to as high as you would like. Paint or decorate with windows, stickers, mod podge, etc.

Terra Cotta Pot Lighthouse With Solar Light
You will want to go to a nursery or big box store where terra cotta pots are sold. Select your pots, my suggestion here is to purchase several pots that increase in size until it reaches the height you want. Once you have your pots, start with your biggest pot inverted and glue and stack them into place with eg: Gorilla Glue, remove excess glue if necessary, let dry, and then paint it. I have seen this done with sand added to the paint. You can mix dry sand in your paint for texture. Decorate if you want or have your husband wire it into a light. Good luck!
