How can I regrout around my bathtub?
The white grout around my bathtub appears to be coming apart in a couple of spots and also looks like a bit of mold has appeared. How do I remove the old grout (tools?) and what's the best kind of grout to replace it with? thank you in advance for your help.

Great video from Alice. You can also use a flat blade screwdriver or a razor utility knife. Grout is not the product to use. Should be bathroom caulk.
Dig out with putty knife. Clean, spray with Lysol mold killer. Recaulk with tub/tile caulk.
Grout Or Caulking? Caulking just scrape it up putty knife or razor blade and kill mold remove staining from it with straight hydrogen peroxide let dry thoroughly then recaulk; Grout needs cut out/removed from around tiles tub then regrouted
It sounds like you are asking about the caulking around the tub. The above suggestions for removing are great. Clean the area with bleach water or peroxide they will help clean up the area. Finish with a spray of white vinegar and let it dry, this will help make sure all the mold/mildew spores are killed by leaving it on until it dries. Replace the caulking as directed on the tube for setting times before you can get it wet. Some caulks are paintable, it will say on the label, if you want to match the caulking with the tub or tile color if they don't have the color you need.
