    Paint the walls and doors.

Replace flooring, countertops, and back splash.

These are the easiest and least expensive ways to update without a full remodel.

You can refinish the cabinets, paint, or replace for a full remodel.

This will be a big project that is no fun to live through because you have no use of your appliances for the most part. You become versed in washing your dishes in the tub, cooking in the microwave, eating out, and using paper plates.
