Hello Vivian,
Contact your local garden centre or garden club, they should be able to help you.
Your local Cooperative Extension office can not only tell you what will grow well there, it can tell you how to grow it, where to get seeds (or whatever), and what might or might not be invasive. Plus they can tel you much more. And all that advice is free. The offices are usually listed by county name.
