How do I get rid of ground bees in flower bed?
Ground bees have invaded my only outdoor space. It’s a postage stamp area. I have a small 3x1 flower bed that the bees have made home. I can’t even sit outside. Help me to get them to go away.

Hi M, Here's a link you should read about your bees first: https://entomology.cals.cornell.edu/extension/wild-pollinators/native-bees-your-backyard/
Here's a couple of thing I found you can try. This first one is a store purchased bee trap: https://bestbeebrothers.com/products/best-carpenter-bee-trap?gclid=CjwKCAjw_MnmBRAoEiwAPRRWWwOweVQCKMR7psIze8JIx6S5m8Xwn9cN7GsTvA_i5vbA07JEeALj5RoC1ksQAvD_BwE

Hi M, after some research this is what I found.
Someone who has ground bees might need to turn to pesticides to fully eliminate these pests if they find that their' yard has been taken over.
Most ground bee pesticides are applied directly to the yard as a spray or powder which is spread across the ground. In some cases, the pesticide is sprayed directly down the hole into the bee's home.
The downside to most pesticides used for ground bees is that they can harm other "non-target" insects and bugs, so people who use them need to be careful. It's possible to accidentally kill off beneficial bugs while trying to eliminate the ground bees.
People who wish to avoid pesticides can try to use natural remedies like:
I would sprinkle Sevin dust all over the ground outside the holes. You also need to know if they are wasp/hornet type or if they look like carpenter or bumble bee types. The sevin dust should clear them up either way. Also, hanging a plastic or paper bag stuffed full of wadded bags or newsprint and hanging it from an eave will scare away most hornet/wasp type insects. It even scares away the larger bumble type bees as they think there is a nest and will not move into the territory . Hope this helps
Mix two cups of peppermint castile soap and water, boil the solution and pour it in a spray bottle. Mint oil or extracts can kill just about any insects and bees are no exception. Just spray the soapy mix outside the burrows and pour some boiling hot water down the burrows.
