Dollar Store Lantern
As I usually do, I took a trip to the dollar store, and went exploring for ideas. I'm so excited about this project, check out how cute it is!
You'll need a bird feeder, a tea light holder, and some paint.
First, take them all apart, and remove the glass from the candle holder.
Then using an X-acto knife, I cut off the mouth of the bottle of the bird feeder.
Try to cut it as straight as you can.
Then take the other pieces outside and spray them silver.
Then I used black chalk paint and went over the edges to give it an aged look.
I used a stiff brush not putting to much pressure on it. To achieve that aged look.
Next, put some e6000 on the lip of the bottle you just cut.
Place the lid of the bird feeder on the edge you cut off and have glue on, and then firmly push the opposite end into the wire candle holder. It’s tight so you will not need to glue.
then glue that onto the bottom of the bird feeder base.
Look how cute this turned out! I think this simple Dollar store feeder looks amazing you could also put a tea light in the inside for some light. I'm just using it as cute decor! See more at Gilbert Marketplace

How darn cute! I'm so jealous of people like you who can come up with such great and creative ideas. I can copy stuff I see but never come up with ideas on my own. Thanks for sharing so un-creative people like me can make cute stuff too.

Had you considered amending it further to house a solar light? I'd like to see that!
How did you remove the glued tea candle glass holder from the wire ? I have one and I am having trouble removing the glass part from the metal base.
