Hi Kate, I think the counter top painting kits include everything you need to seal them properly. Epoxy will always work, that stuff is hard core lol
I used Benjamin Moore advance paint , after cleaning them well , I lightly scuffed them with a sanding sponge . I cleaned off all the dust , then did 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint . I didn't seal them , I was told by the guy in the paint store I didn't need to . It's been a little over 2 years and they have held up well , I am careful with them and alwAys use a cutting board and use a trivet for hot pans . You can check out my step by step tutorial on this site called "New kitchen on a budget "
The first part shows my cabinets , then it goes on to the countertops. Good luck !
Rustoleum sells counter top paint kits!
Hi Kate! I resurfaced our kitchen countertops with epoxy. I've also done several others and bathrooms. :) Here is a pic! You can make them look like marble, quartz...really anything! Check out https://www.stonecoatcountertops.com There epoxy is the best! And they have TONS of videos!
