How to redo ugly old countertop laminate without tearing it off?
I don't want to rip it off because of the work that would be required for the underside,I just want a good easy way to cover it up!!

They make paint kits for that sold at Home Depot. Step by step instructions are in the kit.
Shelly, have you considered sponge painting over it to make it look like granite, marble or slate? There are many ways to paint and cover with non-yellowing polyurethane for a finish. If I can do it, anyone can do it. If you type "faux granite counter tops" in the search box and hit enter, you will find quite a number of ideas. I have chosen a few for you, but there are many more.

Hi Shelly! My favorite way to redo laminate countertops is with epoxy. :) You can see a before and after on apartment therapy . I used stonecoat countertops epoxy. You can make them look like marble, quartz...etc. :)
