Repurposing Vintage Milk Can to a Side Table
We use our milk can for a side table by putting a puter dish in it my folks got for a 25th wedding anniversary, or a round finished wooden top and just set it on top, so we can change it over to an umbrella/cane holder if needed. We liked the puter plate as it fit down in it nicely, but the round thick board gave us more surface area and it was heavy enough not to tip at all. If you wanted a permanent top, you could use E6000 glue or something on it to keep it in place.
HI THERE, iT IS JUST A MATTER OF FINDING A TOP AND CUTTING A CIRCLE OF TIMBER TO WEDGE INTO THE TOP. DON'T FORGET TO FILL IT WITH SAND TO STOP IT FROM FALLING OVER!
Most places like home Depot and Lowe's sell circles cut from wood for table projects.
You can buy a circular piece of wood at Home depot and attach it to the top of a milk can with construction adhesive. Paint the whole thing one color and you've got yourself a side table!
