Paint it if it needs it! Outdoor furniture with outdoor cushions. Candles!!! and Lighting!!!! Check out what we did to add a hanging lantern in the center of our gazebo. https://karupp-did.net/birdcage-re-purposed/

We also used Rope-lights all around the gazebo. They started drooping over time because of the cheap clips that kept breaking. We came up with a solution to keep our Rope-lights straight and never droop. This is so much cheaper than expensive restaurant lighting. Anyway, hope you can use our ideas!
It depends on what you want to do with it, Heather. It can be stained/painted...maybe a few colors like an old Victorian Painted Lady house. Add plants with hanging baskets or grow vines up the posts.
Thank you but it’s more of I don’t want the canvas top anymore.
Without seeing how it's built, what it is built of, etc. it's hard to give you suggestions. Since it has a canvas top is it metal? Movable? You probably won't be able to put anything heavy in it if it only had canvas. A picture or two and some specific information like what it's made of, etc. would help us give you better suggestions.
