Easy Renter-friendly Way to Maximize Storage Space in a Small Closet
Customizing a closet can be challenging when you're a renter but here's a quick and easy way to add extra shelving in a small closet without using any power tools or making any holes in the walls.
There's a lot of wasted space above this shelf, which is typical of a lot of closets.
Use removable double sided tape ( I like the hybribond double sided tape from Glue Dots) to secure 2 supports on either side of the closet (you'll want them to be the width of the shelf).
Then it's just a matter of resting the shelf on top of the supports - you can use more double sided tape to secure it in place.
It's a simple thing that can not only add more storage, it makes it easier to get to things since they are not all stacked on top of each other.
A small change like this can make a huge difference in organizing a closet - making use of all that open space above the original closet shelf is key when you don't have a lot of storage space to begin with.

How would this work on a closet shelf that's already too high for me to reach fully without dragging out my step stool every time? Thanks for the help! 😊
