Howe to add lighting to a dining room?
How do we add lighting to our dining room....we don't want to mount a light in the ceiling...(too much work) and expensive...what are some creative ways for dining room lighting....Happy Wednesday...Barb

You could swag a chandelier to the ceiling over the table.
Mount larger sized floating corner shelves at different heights in the corners of the dining room. If you cut off a tiny bit of the shelf just where it meets the corner, a plug from a lamp can be pushed through and the electrical cord can then go discreetly down along the wall.
The size/depth of the shelf is dependent upon the size of the lampshade, and secondly, the base of the lamp, that you want to put on the shelf.
For ease in turning lamps that are sitting on higher shelves on/off, install a snap-on in-line switch, or plug in a wall outlet switch. (pictures below)
