How do I refurbish this?
These chairs were my mothers who passed away two years ago. I want to redo these lawn chairs to put in my flower garden. They are wrought iron (I believe) and are falling apart I have a piece that is totally broke off. How do I go about restoring them? They are very heavy too. Thank you!

Take to a welder for repair, they can usually sand blast them for you so you can spray paint them. That's what I did, they look great. Only use oil based exterior spray paint on them or they will rust.
You could also try a car repair (body shop) for repairs.
Thank you!
How sweet to save these wrought iron seats!
Lovely garden furniture. They are cast iron (made in a mould.) Wrought iron is bent and welded and differs from the set you have. Great suggestions above on restoration. Oil based primer and paint is the way to go. Be sure to get every little bit.
Having them stripped (sandblasted or dipped) first; and getting all the rust off, then having the repair done by a welder with restore these pretty cast pieces. Professional powder coating will give a permanent and sturdy finish.
You can have the pieces welded back on. A lot of welders will come to the location to do the job. Clean them up well. You can use Rustoleum Rust Reformer spray paint to take care of the rust and protect them from future rust. Then use Rustoleum 2X spray paint.

I encourage you to have them professionally stripped, weld the repairs and then repaint. The set is actually worth quite a bit of money once repaired.
