See if Thompson’s makes a indoor one try it in a corner first you could always return it or just use polly
Three coats of a water based polyurethane. Oil based has a yellow cast to it and will yellow over time. Use a lambswool applicator. A roller will put bubbles into the poly.

Definitely use a water based sealer intended for floors.
Your Local DIY store should have a range of Sealers suitsble for the job + folk on hand to help you choose.
