What are you trying to achieve by making them over? Block out or reduce light? You could get decorative window film and apply to the glass in various shades of translucency, you could apply a decorative fabric using liquid starch, you could add a curtain rod over the glass area at the top and bottom, and put a either a solid curtain or a lace one over the glass. If its heat and sun bothering you, get the one way reflective window film that reduces UV light, is one way visable, and reflects heat away from the house.
I've replaced the glass with 2 sides of mirror. Looked awesome, total privacy, yet have illusion of glass.
