I think you mean caning. You can buy caning at woodworking shops or on line. Look at videos on how to cane for more info on pintress or you tube.

You can buy Seat Caneing from Craft Stores. Ask there for advice on fixing it - do take a picture with you..............
There are so many different types and styles of chair seats made from wicker, rattan, and cane.
Often these terms are used interchangeably, but they are not the same when it comes to repair.
