Well Hello Anna,
This is Joy from Great Yarmouth, UK! If you have a lot of bees in the one area, maybe you have a nest or a swarm. Call someone from the Beekeeper's group or your local wildlife specialist or public health dept. Any one of them may be able to help you solve this problem.
Bees from where?
Definitely contact your local extension agent to find someone who will collect the bees for you
check with the county extension office to get referrals for a bee keeper. they are the specialists at removing bees.
If you have carpenter bees:
They are very sensitive to smell. You can spray WD-40, but that can get very expensive. We use termite control Hi-Yield 38Plus, mixed to termite ratio, in a garden sprayer. Spray the area well and they will stop drilling in your wood. We do it twice a year and has been very effective for us.
Hello-honey bees—for the best local professional advice -I would highly suggest contacting your cooperative extension. We have provided contact information for bee removal in our local area.
These offices are manned by volunteer master gardeners on site there waiting to answer the communities questions that know your local situation quite well.
Master gardeners are required to volunteer back designated hours ( plus continuing education) each year to maintain MG certification -this community outreach and education is their goal.
