Kitchen Renovation
My husband like to take on big projects on the side, like buy fixer uppers and rehab them. It’s not time consuming at all ;) I really enjoy it, I love picking everything out and trying to make it more functional or more eye appealing. On this particular house there wasn’t a lot of cabinet space so we added a peninsula. We also lighted it up but getting rid of the book cabinets and replacing them with white shaker cabinets. Over the peninsula we added two black pendant lights that perfectly tied in with the black hardware we used. We replaced the floor with luxury vinyl plank, which is water proof yet looks like real wood. I’m so pleased with how it turned out.
This is the before. As you can see, there aren’t many cabinets. It was a 2,500 square foot home so it needed more storage for a family that size.
Another after.
This is the After. We added the peninsula and lightened it up with lighter cabinets. Yet, we added some black for a nice contrast.
This is a during. The cabinets had been installed and the two black pendants. Waiting on paint, granite, hardware, and backsplash.
This was the granite we installed. The hardware had been installed as well.
Almost done, still waiting on backsplash and paint.
