A mixture of common household products should work. Mix 1-gallon of white bleach with 1-cup of salt. Put the mixture in a pan and heat it until the salt is dissolved. Once the mixture is cool put a squirt of Dawn dish soap in, put it in a spray bottle, and spray it on the poison ivy.

My girlfriend and I suit up and dig it out on her property. Not easy but doable and it is a process. Then treat the area with white vinegar or agricultural strength vinegar. No need for toxic chemicals that can harm wildlife.
You can buy a spray product that is formulated to kill poison ivy. As someone who is highly susceptible to poison ivy I strongly recommend you use something to eliminate the plant.
Dissolve one cup salt in a gallon of water and add a tablespoon of dish soap to create a solution that can be sprayed on poison ivy

Hi Mindy, hope this helps you. Dig out the roots of the Ivy all along the base. Try cutting the vine about 6" above where it comes out of the ground. Put some full strength white vinegar on both of the cut ends by dipping them into a cup full of white vinegar. Do this all along the length of the vines. Repeat if necessary. by doing it this way, you are only killing the ivy.
