Something native to your area will work best.
Contact your local Ag Extension. Their advice is free! It would help to have photos of the home, as well as exposure and orientation, facing north, south, east, west. Native plantings work best and it should be layered so there is interest all year long.
Hi Halina - This site has the best landscaping plants for Colorado. If you decide on any, I'd love to see some pictures of your landscaping when you're done. I'm in Colorado also and always loving to see how others landscape here.
I agree with reaching out to your local cooperative extension. Choose something appropriate for your zone and that requires little maintenance. Good luck!
