Paint would be the least expensive way. Be sure to put a few coats of sealer on after painting. You could stencil a design also. Again, seal with a few coats of poly afterwards. You could do a ‘paper bag’ finish on the floor. You can lay a wood floor using plywood strips. Google and YouTube have instructions for all methods I’ve mentioned. Search Pinterest for other ideas.
