Wash, dry, and freeze in bags. Some people like to chop it and freeze in a divided ice cube tray, then move it once frozen into cubes to a bag or jar. Some blanch it quickly and then cool and dry before freezing. Best to spread on a tray to freeze before bagging so you don’t end up with one humongous clump.
I have made pesto out of my basil and then freeze it in icecube trays - so you get individual servings for future pesto pasta meals!
Or . . . You can just air dry it between cheesecloth or paper towels. Place in spice tins or jars for future use. Works for most herbs.
put in water in ice cube trays. once frozen, put in a bag or reusable container in freezer.
