Blasting them off with your hose helps tremendously also. Once they fall, they die.
A natural way is to buy Ladybugs. I was a farmer once and deplored poisons. Mostly I went the natural way if I could and Ladybugs devour aphids and they are friendly and cute. They can be bought online or ordered from Agway.
