You will need to buy or hire a tile cutter and practice first before using expensive tiles. If on the floor you may also find it useful to buy a Jig for awkward shapes too.
Everything else you should get, including advice is from the tile supplier.
You start in the center of the room laying tile and work out you need a tile cutter
